Our panel has selected our first Currie Cup of the week team, and admittingly some positions were problematic to even nominate one player that should be included in a team of the week.
Several players put up their hands in the backline except for #11 where we really were tempted to "move" Ashlon Davids to the other side of the field just to include excitement in the team.
The loosies led to several arguments with every panellist having their own favourite. At lock and in the front row, once again we struggled to name credible candidates.
The inclusion of Jaques van Rooyen was closely debated with IG Prinsloo also named. At hooker, the choice was actually easy as Dameon Venter were one of very few hookers that actually found their jumpers on a regular basis. If you can not do your basics you can not expect to be included in a team of the week.
