We Select Our Carling Currie Cup Team Of The Week

Wednesday's Carling Currie Cup games provided some thrilling, messy and may I say boring rugby in the sunshine and rain.

The Toyota Cheetahs are the only unbeaten team left as they retained top position on the Carling Currie Cup log with a hard-fought victory over DHL Western Province (24-17).

Tafel Lager Griquas ran the Sigma Lions off their feet for their 49-17 triumph in Kimberley while the Vodacom Bulls bounced back to winning ways to down the Cell C Sharks 35-21 at a wet Loftus Versfeld.

At the end of the day Johan Mulder was our player of the week. His general player was close to the best of the day at scrumhalf, however, his brilliant passing skills set him apart from his competitors. This young man is going places.
