Hollywoodbets Sharks' outside centre Lukhanyo Am said the Sharks are “growing and learning” and that it won’t be long before they are “very dangerous. He also said Saturday’s match against the Dragons could be a turning point for the Sharks.
Am said the embattled Sharks are feeding off the energy of their World Cup-winning Springboks.
“It’s only a matter of time before we get the results because we are a growing team, we are a learning team. It’s another one at home, we have certain players coming back from national team duty."
“They are showing off their experience to the group. We are definitely in the right space, I’m excited and looking forward to this game."
“Coming back from our national duties, rejoining the boys with so much energy, it has been really good and I think for me individually playing my first game after a long-term injury was such a bonus for myself."
“I think it was never a lack of leadership at any stage. How we want to play and how we want to grow as a group was the thing that we focussed on the most."
“Once we get the individuals to sharpen up and they’re all able to execute this style of play we want to play week in and week out, I think we’ll be very dangerous,” said Amm.
“It’s still the beginning of the season, the season only ends in May/June, so we still have some time to catch up. It’s happened in the past with Munster and the Stormers, so it’s too early for us to throw in the towel."
“We are working on something bigger than us, so we are looking forward to the rest of the season.”
