The Vodacom Bulls will host their DHL Western Province counterparts in the final of the 2022 SA Rugby Under-20 Cup competition at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, following their 78-3 away victory over Eastern Province U20 last Saturday.
Saturday’s Cup Final will kick-off at 11h30 at the Loftus Versfeld B-field.
The young men from Pretoria scored 12 tries as they bagged a comprehensive victory which secured them clinch the top spot on the final league.
The two top teams progressed to the final on completion of the single round of regular games, and DHL WP already secured their spot in the top two at the completion of their league fixtures last weekend.
In Saturday's other two matches, Toyota Free State managed to defeat the Lions by 34-29 at the CUT Rugby Stadium in Bloemfontein, while the Cell C Sharks downed the Leopards 28-6 at Olen Park in Potchefstroom.
Following the weekend's final round of regular action, the Vodacom Bulls finished in first place on the U20 Cup log with a tally of 27 points. DHL WP finished their league obligations last week already and their haul of 24 league points secured them the second spot on the table. The Cell C Sharks finished in third position with 23 points, just one point behind their counterparts from Cape Town.
Last year's winners, the Lions U20 (17 points), Toyota Free State (11 points), the Leopards (11 points) and EP U20 (0) complete the rest of the league standings.
