The Vodacom Blue Bulls u/20 hosted the DHL Western Province u/20 at Loftus Versveld on Saturday and had to work a lot harder than expected their visitors 45-26 in Round 2 of the SA Rugby u/20 Cup.
DHL Western Province u/20s were bullied and out-mauled by the Cell C Sharks u/20s a week ago and definitely worked hard to fix it although the Vodacom Blue Bulls u/20s still dominated with mauls. The DHL Western Province scored 4 lineout maul tries to keep themselves in contact with the Vodacom Blue Bulls on the scoreboard.
The Vodacom Blue Bulls u/20s also dominated their visitors in the scrums, which did put a lot of pressure on the visitors, in a match which was dominated by the battle up front. As a result four of the six tries scored by the Vodacom Blue Bulls u/20s were scored by their forwards.
The Vodacom Blue Bulls u/20s led 21-14 at the halftime break and scored four tries to the two of the DHL Western Province u/20s as they continued their dominance in the second half.
