The Vodacom Bulls' brilliant second half secured them a 26-19 win over the Glasgow Warriors after leading 09-07 at the halftime break. However, the two late tries scored by Glasgow Warriors secured one bonus point, which secured them the second place on the URC log, one point more than the Vodacom Bulls.
The first half was an arm wrestle with the Bulls, thanks to the boot of Johan Goosen, who converted three penalties to a try by Jamie Dobie for the Glasgow Warriors to lead 09-07 at the halftime break.
The Bulls started the second half like a house on fire, and following a five-meter lineout-maul Johan Grobbelaar peeled off the back of the maul to score the Bulls' first try of the match to extend their lead to 16-09 following a Goosen Conversion.
Goosen converted a penalty with twenty-five minutes of play to extend the Bulls' lead to 19-07.
A mistake by the Warriors from a kick up-field by the Bulls, the Warriors fumbled, and great work by Sebastien de Klerk led to David Kriel scoring in the corner to extend the Bulls' lead to 26-07.
The Glasgow Warriors spread the ball wide to Kyle Steyn, who danced over the Bulls' tryline with three minutes to play to cut the Bulls' lead to 26-12.
With a minute to play, Glasgow attacked from their half, and following great interplay between their backs, it was Stafford McDowall who did the final cut of the defence of the Bulls to score.
The Bulls were the deserved 26-19 winners following a brilliant second half, however, the one log point Glasgow Warriors earned still secured their second place on the URC log, one point more than the Bulls.
