Saturday Waterkloof will host EG Jansen in the one leg of the VirSeker/Beeld trophy semi finals. The other semi final between Garsfontein and Monument will be played on Tuesday 23 August in order for their SA Schools representatives to be available.

EG Jansen made it very clear in beating MenloPark 71 - 28, that they will not be easily beaten on their way to the VirSeker/Beeld trophy. They will again ask of their forwards to control the tight phases to supply their dangerous backline with enough ball and equally starve Waterkloof's backline. Their front row with captain Werner Fourie leading, will be EG Jansen's enforcers. Ruben Beytell showed against MenloPark what he can do with ball in hand when the opposition gives him the slightest of space.

Waterkloof's victory against Middelburg HTS was a big surprise given their team's track record this year. An early warning was given against Jeppe, winning 54 - 43, two weeks prior to the quarter finals that their backs are capable to run any team off its feet. The quarter final against Middelburg HTS was a high paced game with 82 points scored in the match with their wing PJ Krugell scoring four tries. Their inside centre Ruan Allers also showed against Middelburg HTS that he is a very dangerous player capable of sneaking through the smallest gaps.

EG Jansen's performance up front will be the deciding factor. Without quality possession not many teams will be able to win.
