Hollywoodbets Sharks' loosie Phepsi Buthelezi was adamant that their battle with the Scarlets in a United Rugby Championship outing on Friday evening is their immediate priority and will not be influenced by their up-and-coming Challenge Cup semi-final against Clermont Auvergne a week later.
“We are 100 per cent focused on the Scarlets. What is waiting after that, we will deal with next week.”
“We want to put in a good performance against the Scarlets. A win would mean a lot to us and would give us good momentum. We would like to show that we are better than the scoreboard shows. We want to seize our opportunities and raise our standards."
“In the last five or six weeks, our confidence has grown a lot. Once you start winning, the belief in a group grows."
“We haven’t won any cups, but we work hard to fix that.”
"We want to put in a good performance against the Scarlets this week."
“Those guys have been around for a long time and have also been unlucky with some of their results and will be looking to get another one over us.”
“They are a team with a lot of international players in its midst. There are some experienced toughs up front and we also have to be careful because the backs kick very well tactically,” Buthelezi said.
“Performing against Scarlets will give us momentum going into the EPCR Challenger Cup semi-final next week.”
