Vodacom Bulls captain Marcell Coetzee said during a post-match press conference following the DHL Stormers match that he is confident that they can go all the way in the United Rugby Championship if they stick to their structures and systems.
The win saw the Vodacom Bulls rise to second place in the United Rugby Championship only 4 points behind log leaders Leinster.
“The biggest message at the beginning of the season was we want to get home playoffs. We learned in the past that if you play away, you just make it harder on yourself. So, we are gunning for the points and looking solid on the log."
“If you want to be on top, you have to be the boss of your own conference. That is knocking out derby games."
“You can only measure yourself when you play against a quality side and the Stormers are a quality side. They’ve been in the finals for two years running, and I think for the morale, it sort of creates a belief in the squad that we can go all the way."
"If we just stick to the structure and stick to the system. There’s nothing like a big game that glues the team together to complement that,” Coetzee said.
“A lot of confidence was taken out of tonight on how can play against a quality side like the Stormers,” he concluded.
