The second match of Round 4 of the 2021 Varsity Cup will be between the UFS Shimlas and UCT Ikeys @ Loftus Versveld. The kick-off time is 15h00.
UFS Shimlas are still looking for their first win of the 2021 Varsity Cup Competition. In Round 3 they lost for the third time in a row against CUT with 31-26.
UCT Ikeys is still unbeaten. They had convincing wins against Maties (26-20) and Wits (40-22) but struggled against UJ (39-34) in round three. UJ dominated a very good Ikeys team and showed their future opponents where to target the Ikeys. Three penalties in the last 20 minutes against UJ saved the Ikeys. James Tedder who is the star of the 2021 Varsity Cup will be vital for the Ikeys battle for the championship.
The Ikeys are still one of the favourites to be crowned 2021 Varsity Cup champions and should win against the Shimlas with ease.
