The Grant Khomo Week continued on Thursday, with South Western Districts facing the Pumas on the A field, the Limpopo Blue Bulls tackling Zimbabwe on the B field, and Border Country Districts fronting the Free State XV on the C field. Western Province and Free State will play the final match on the A-field.

Blue Bulls 20-12 Free State
The Cheetahs started like a house on fire and scored the first try after just three minutes of play in the first half. The levelled the score shortly thereafter before the Cheetahs added a second try to lead 12-05 at the halftime break. Two tries by the Blue Bulls in the second half secured a deserved 20-12 win.

Western Province 10-05 Golden Lions
After sixty minutes of play the boot of Francios Van Der Merwe was the difference between the two teams. Western Province lead 03-00 at the halftime break and won 10-05 to end the u/16 Grant Khomo unbeaten.

Western Province XV 25-08 Sharks
Western Province validated the opinion that they were one of the better team at the u/16 Grant Khomo is not the best. They scored three unanswered tries in the first half to lead 15-00 against the Sharks. The second half was a more even match with both teams adding a trie each. Western Province XV beat the Sharks 25-08 to end the 2023 Grant Khomo unbeaten.

Leopards 12-12 Border
In a close and forward-dominated battle, Border scored the only try of the first half to lead 05-00 at the halftime break. Two tries in the second half by the Leopards secured a 12-12 draw with Border who scored only one try in the second half. The conditions at this stage were not conducive to running rugby with the forwards tasked to grind out a win.

Boland 13-15 Eastern Province
The educated boot of Eastern Province's Travis Pheiffer kicked them to a win against Boland who conceded several penalties when defending in kickable positions. Eastern Province led 06-03 at the halftime break. The Eastern Province remained unbeaten during the 2023 u/16 Grant Khomo.

Griquas 23-00 Namibia
Griquas ended Namibia's unbeaten streak with a dominating 23-00 win outscoring Namibia four tries to zero. In the first half, Namibia still managed to hang on to trail 00-07. Unfortunately for Namibia, the outside backs of the Pumas started to find the gaps with their aggressive running in Namibia's defence and scored three unanswered tries in the second half.

Griffons 00-06 Valke
Limpopo Blue Bulls 29-16 Zimbabwe
The Limpopo Bulls secured their second win of the week when they outplayed Zimbabwe 29-18 in the second half. The first half was very close with Zimbabwe converting two penalties to lead 06-05 at the halftime break. The Pumas scored four tries to the one of Zimbabwe, Although Zimbabwe lost two of their three matches they were more than competitive with a few boys looking extremely good.

South Western Districts 19-24 Pumas
SWD used their big forwards to score two tries in the first half to go into the second half leading 14-07, however, the Pumas backs started to find gaps in SWD's defence in the second half as their back started to spread the ball wide. Pumas added two tries and a converted penalty to the one try of SWDs in the second half to secure a 24-19 win. The Pumas ended the u/16 Grank Khomo with two wins and a 38-07 loss against Western Province XV on Tuesday.

Border Country Districts 07-28 Free State XV
Free State XV was determined to correct their "oops" against Zimbabwe on Tuesday and was in brilliant form during the first half to lead 21-00 against Border XV who has not won a match this year. The second half was a much closer affair with both sides adding a converted try to the halftime score.
