Toyota Cheetahs Suffer Cruel Blow Before Upcoming EPCR Tour

 

The Toyota Cheetahs were dealt a cruel blow by potentially losing their three Springboks before they depart on Sunday for their second leg of the EPCR Challenge Cup fixtures in Europe.

Frans Steyn and Oupa Mahoje have suffered injuries during their preparations in Bloemfontein while Ruan Pienaar's injured his knee on Friday and is still doubtful.

Frans Steyn will be replaced by Cohen Jasper while Branden de Kock is on standby for Ruan Pienaar. Oupa Mohoje will be replaced by Roelof Smit.

The Toyota Cheetahs will leave South Africa on Sunday to face the Scarlets on Friday 13 January 2023, whereafter they return to their European home base where they will host Section Paloise on Sunday 22 January whereafter they will return home.
