Toyota Cheetahs Claim To Spot On Carling Currie Cup Log After Win In Nelspruit

 

The Toyota Cheetahs remained unbeaten after an error-ridden match against the hosts, Airlink Pumas with 28-17. The Cheetahs also claimed the top spot on the 2022 Carling Currie Cup lug after claiming four log points for the win to end on 13 points, 3 points ahead of the Vodacom Bulls.

Both teams struggled with their discipline with the Cheetahs conceding several penalties during the last 20 minutes of the first half due to pressure applied by the Pumas. The Cheetahs were dominant in the first quarter of the match after which the Pumas took control. The second half "degraded" into a bore-fest as both teams tried to cut down on the basic errors that dominated this match
