The Toyota Cheetahs announced that Tielman Nieuwoudt will join the Cheetahs in July while hooker Vernon Paulo has extended its contract.
A powerful loosehead prop and proud product of Grey College in Bloemfontein, Nieuwoudt brings strength and versatility to the front row. He has represented the Blue Bulls and Bulls since 2022 and will officially join the Toyota Cheetahs ahead of the 2025 Currie Cup in July.
It was also confirmed that hooker Vernon Paulo has committed his future to the team by extending his contract for another two years. A consistent performer in the orange jersey, Paulo has already notched up 27 appearances across multiple competitions (10 in the SA Cup, 10 in the Carling Currie Cup, 2 in the Toyota Challenge, and 5 in the EPCR Challenge Cup.
