The Lions Rugby Company announced that Tiaan Swanepoel, Reinhard Nothnagel and Sti Sithole have all re-committed to the Johannesburg outfit.
Tiaan Swanepoel (Fullback) burst onto the scene during the recent Super Rugby Unlocked and Currie Cup tournaments. He established himself at fullback with his kicking abilities saving the Lions several times during the recent local competitions. Swanepoel initially only signed for the 2020 season at the Lions.
Sti Sithole (Prop) signed at the Lions in 2017 and has become one of South Africa's top emerging looseheads. Sithole was a member of the South African Under-20 side that competed at the 2013 IRB Junior World Championship in France. He then represented Western Province and the Stormers from 2014 -2016 before being contracted by the Lions after a short stint at the Southern Kings.
Reinhardt Nothnagel (Lock) represented has signed with the Lions since leaving school but also represented South Africa on SA Schools and u/20 level.
Sithole has extended for two years while Swanepoel and Nothnagel both extended for three years.
