The Decisions Made By SASRA And SARU Re Schoolboy Rugby’s Restart Known

According to reliable sources, a meeting between SARU and SASRA (SA Schools Rugby Association) was held today. The following "decisions" were made and will be communicated to the schools during the week.

1) The u/18 Craven Week and u/16 Grant Khomo youth weeks will be hosted during the October school holidays. The possibility that the weeks could be split into North and South regions, was discussed in order to save on expenses.

2) Other inter-provincial tournaments is also planned for October. The u/18 Academy Week and u/16 NoordVaal weeks were mentioned.

3) It was also confirmed that it is expected that schoolboy rugby will again be allowed to restart in the third school term. Obviously, the restart of schoolboy rugby will be subject to permission from the Department of Basic Education.
