It took three minutes for Stellenberg to score a converted try after an intercept by Damian Marcus. Stellenberg second try followed three minutes later after some great interplay and slick handling by forwards and backs (14-0). Stellenberg converted a penalty after time was up to lead 17-0.
Both teams had enough opportunity in the first half to add some more points to the scoreboard.

5 minutes into the second half Stellenberg again took full advantage of a Helpmekaar mistake in Helpmekaar's half and scored their third try (24-0). With 13 minutes gone in the second half, Stellenberg was happy to convert a penalty and stretched their lead to 27-0. Helpmekaar Kollege scored two tries in quick succession to narrow the gap to 12-27.
The second half did not produce much excitement for the visibly tired teams. A final try by Stellenberg secured the win with 34-12.
