St Stithians 27-19 Michaelhouse

Saints attacked from the kick-off and scored their first try after just two minutes of play. Three minutes later, a great individual trial by Michaelhouse's Reynolds to level the scores. Saints converted a penalty after ten minutes of play, whereafter the Saints flanker scored his second try, extending the Saints' lead to 17-07 and twelve minutes still to play in the first half. Five minutes later, Michaelhouse rumbled over the tryline from a five-meter lineout and reduced the Saints' lead to 17-14.

Saints converted a penalty early in the second half and scored their first try of the second half to extend their lead to 27-14 with eighteen minutes still to play. Six minutes later, Michaelhouse scored their first try of the second half to reduce the Saints' lead to 29-19, which was also the final score.

Wynberg 17-18 Helpmekaar

Surprisingly, the forwards of Wynberg took on Helpmekaar up front, and they were patiently building their attack until space opened up wide for winger Campbell to score Wynberg's first points. Wynberg converted a penalty to lead 10-00 after twelve minutes of play in the first half. Wynberg continued to dominate the territorial battle. Helpmekaar clawed their way into the Wynberg twenty-two and following four minutes af brutal attacks launched by Helpmekaar until their flanker Krige scored in the corner to cut the lead of Wynberg to just five points. Wynberg led 10-05 at the halftime break.

Helpmekaar used their maul to attack and scored off a lineout twenty meters from Wynberg's tryline. The scores were level at 10-10 after two minutes of play in the second half. With Helmekaar reduced to thirteen players, Wynberg used their big forwards to open up a gap for scrummy Noble to score their third try of the match. Wynberg led 17-10 after twelve minutes of play in the second half. Two minutes later, Wynberg was penalised after an illegal scrum. Helmekaar's maul once again was unstoppable off the lineout to cut Wynberg's lead to 17-15. Following a red card shown to Wynberg, Helpmekaar upped the pressure on Wynberg and with two minutes to play, Helpmekaar converted a penalty to retake the lead. Wynberg could not convert a penalty after time was up, and Helpmekaar won 18-17.

St Andrew's 19-14 St Charles

An early penalty by the St Andrew's fullback edged them in the lead by 3-0 after just two minutes of play. St Andrew's launched a fifteen-man attack from the kickoff, and three minutes later, they increased their lead to 08-03 with a great try. St Charles' indiscipline allowed St Andrew's to add three more points to lead 11-00 after just ten minutes of play. St Andrews continued their dominance and scored their third try after fifteen minutes of play to lead 16-00. A late penalty extended St Andrew's lead to 19-00, which was the halftime score.

St Charles started to claw their way back into the game, and after fifteen minutes of play in the first half, St Charles scored their first points with a try off the back of a lineout maul to reduce St Andrew's lead to 19-07. With ten minutes to play, the dominance of St Charles resulted in their second try when their inside centre burst past several defenders to reduce St Andrew's lead to 19-14, which was the final score.
