St John's Easter Rugby Festival has been the festival to be at during the past ten years. This year the festival is scheduled to take place from Thursday 06 April until 10 April 2023.
Grey High School and Maritzburg College are the new faces while Affies, Helpmekaar, Paul Roos and Paarl Boishaai are missing from the fixtures.
Helpmekaar will attend the St Stithians Easter Rugby Festival and Paarl Boishaai will be attending the KES Easter Rugby Festival due to an administrative error apparently.
Maritzburg College will be closely watched for an early influence of ex-Garsfontein Director Of Rugby. Hendre Marnitz replaced Hein Kriek as the Director of Rugby at Maritzburg College at the beginning of this year. Expect the normal exciting rugby that Maritzburg College play to increase by 20-30%.
Nelspruit will bring new excitement after being promoted to the Noordvaal Cup competition after a few not-so-great years while the appearance of Grey High School will also bring new excitement to the festival.
Boland Landbou will be out to prove some wrong while Pretoria Boys High and Noordhewel will be hard nuts to crack.
