St Andrew’s College Perform Well Under Difficult Circumstances

Saturday the St Andrew's Rugby Club travelled to Humansdorp for their annual fixture against Nico Malan. The club was a bit thinned out with boys still having to finish some of their summer sports commitments. However, we managed to put together some competitive teams for the fixture, with the 2nd team set to face the Nico Malan 1sts.

The juniors performed well with last-minute losses for the U14s and U15As. The U15Bs played well and won comfortably. The U16As had a good tough win and the Bs struggled in their fixture.

The 4ths won their game 10-7. The 3rds struggled with the conditions and went down 5-14.

With so many boys away a decision was made to play the main game with the 2nd team. The St Andrew's 2nd XV put in a good performance and eventually went down 17 – 26. This was an excellent opportunity for the side to play against quality opposition and experience playing at 1st team intensity. Jonno Moremi, WeluTembo and LethuNtshingana scored tries, with a conversion from Miles Jackson.

St Andrew's play against Framesby and see it as a great opportunity to start the season.
