Springboks Brilliant In Try-fest Against Romania

The Springboks outplayed Romania at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, scoring twelve tries on their way to a 76-00 win after leading 33-00 at the halftime break.

Cobus Reinach strolled over the tryline of Romania off the back of a strong Springbok scrum to take an early 05-00 lead. Three minutes later Makazole Mapimpi followed with a brilliant try thanks to great work by Willie le Roux on the attack.

The Springboks continued to score tries with regular intervals and had the bonus point locked down after just eleven minutes of play. Despite the Springboks dominating proceedings for the rest of the first half, they could only add one try to lead 33-00 at the halftime break. The wet conditions did make play difficult for both teams at that stage.

Deon Fourie scored the Springboks' sixth try after just three minutes of play in the second half, whereafter the Springboks continued to score tries almost at will.
