Springbok Women’s Sevens Storm Into 9th-place Final In Dubai

 

The Springboks Women's Sevens celebrate their return to the HSBC Sevens Series with a dominant 17-00 win over Spain in the 9th-place semi-final. South Africa will play Japan at 13:04 (SA Time) in the 9th-place final.

Nadine Roos opened the scoring with a great try after just two minutes of play to lead 05-00. The rest of the first half was an arm wrestle, however, with time up Rights Mkhari scored a great team try in the corner to go into the second half leading 10-00.

With 2 minutes still to play, Nadine Roos collected her own kick forward to score her second try of the match to extend South Africa's lead to 17-00 which was also the winning score.
