Despite the Springbok Women's Seven's horrible start to the match, they clawed their way back into the match against Great Britain and scored two tries to shock Perth with a 14-12 win.
Horrible defence by the Springbok Women's Sevens led to Great Britain's first try after just 90 seconds in the first half. However, the South African ladies fought back and took a 07-05 lead with one minute to play. Simamkele Namba ran 50 odd meters to score Springbok Women's Sevens' first try.
Britain struck after 4 minutes of the second half to take a 12-07 lead, however, Maria Tshiremba scored another long-distance try to give the Springbok Women's Sevens a 14-12 lead with 90 seconds left to play which was also the final score.
