Springbok Women’s Sevens Book Place In 9th Place Final With Win Over Spain

 

The Springbok Women's Sevens beat Spain in the 9th place HSBC SVNS Perth semi-finals on Saturday with 14-05 to book their place in the 9th place final early on Sunday morning.

A scrappy score-less first half ended with a try by Zintle Mpupha to secure the Springbok Women's Sevens going into the second half leading 05-00.

Great stepping by Spain's captain put her clear to score Spain's first try to take a 07-05 lead after just 1 minute of play in the second half. However, Nadine Roos broke through a tackle, get back on her feet to score the Springbok Women's Sevens' second try to secure a 12-07 win.
