The Springbok Women's Sevens are off to a great start in Singapore, beating the USA 14-00 in their first match. This was the Springbok Women's Sevens second win ever over the USA.
The USA scored first when Sarah Levy went over to give the USA an early 07-00 lead. Nadine Roos scored late in the half to send the Sringbok Women's Sevens level on 07-07 into the second half.
Several mistakes by the Springbok Women's Sevens made it easy for the USA in the beginning of the second half which allowed the USA to score and take a 12-07 lead. The Springbok Women's Sevens had to wait till two minutes after time was already up for their second try when Simankele Namba scored and secured the 14-12 win.
