Springbok head coach Jaques Nienaber has confirmed the Springbok squad has been cut down with 10 players, leaving 37 players still in the camp.
Nienaber confirmed the release of seven locally-based and three overseas-based players from the wider squad. The local players released are Fez Mbatha (Sharks), Lizo Gqoboka (Bulls), Rosko Specmam (Cheetahs), Sanele Nohamba (Sharks), Scarra Ntubeni (Western Province), Wandisile Simelane (Lions) and Yaw Penxe (Sharks).
The overseas players are all from Sale Sharks. Dan u Preez, Jean-Luc du Preez and Coenie Oosthuizen.
