Several players from the Bulls, Sharks and Western Province have tested positive for the Covid19 virus.
The testing of players and staff were part of the SARU regulations before training could have commenced yesterday. All the unions' players were tested apart from the Cheetahs who have a week off and will only return to Bloemfontein on Sunday.
At the Bulls, five players and a member of management tested positive and was placed in isolation for the prescribed 10 days. Follow-up tests will be performed later in the week to avoid "false" results.
The Western Province had only one player who tested positive while at the Sharks refused to release the number of positive tests.
At the Griquas, all the tests were negative while the Lions and Pumas are expecting the results of their test today or tomorrow.
