The Springbok Women's Sevens suffered their fourth loss at the HSBC SVNS Hong Kong losing to Spain 17-12 in the 11th place playoff.
Spain opened the scoring with an early try to lead 05-00. The rest of the half Spain spent in the Springbok Women's Sevens half and ended the half with their second try, going into the halftime break 10-00.
Spain opened the second half with their third try, to which the Springbok Women's Sevens replied with tries by Nadine Roos and Ayanda Williams. Unfortunately the fightback by the Springbok Women's Sevens was too little too late and they lost 17-12.
