Sevens – Springbok Women’s Sevens Beat Brazil To Qualify For First Quarter Final In Nine Years

 

The Springbok Women's Sevens' power-play proved to be a match-winner against Brazil. The girls in Green deservedly won 10-07 against Brazil to qualify for their first quarter-finals in almost 9 years.

Brail scored a breakaway try from their own 22m to open the scoring whereafter Nadine Roos cut the defence of Brazil in two to score the Springbok Women's Sevens opening try to trail 07-05 going into the second half.

The Springbok Women's Sevens set up camp for most of the second half in the red zone of Brazil and scored the winning try by Ayanda Malinga who controlled a kickpass in the corner.
