Sevens: Blitzboks Secure Great Win Against Spain

 

Bad defence has become the trademark of the Blitzboks' game, however, after a shocker of a first half, a brilliant second half by the Blitzboks secured them a 22-19 win over Spain.

A strong start from the Blitzboks with Zain Davids scoring out wide, unfortunately, the bad defence of the Blitzboks struck again allowing Spain to score a try in the corner. With seconds to go Spain burst through bad defence to put Spain 12-07 in the lead.

The Blitzboks started like a house on fire in the second half with Selvyn Davids scoring in the corner to level the scores and 6 minutes to go. Brilliant hands by the Blitzboks opened up space out wide with Rosko Spekman and minutes later to go over in the corner.

A late try by Spain reduced the Blitzboks lead to 22-19 which was also the final score.
