Sevens – Blitzboks Blown Away By Fiji In Fifth Place Play Off

 

The Blitzboks were blown away by Fiji in the fifth-place play-off at the HSBC SVNS Hong Kong tournament. Fiji bullied the Blitzboks with a 33-14 win.

Fiji started like a house on fire scoring three tries after three minutes in the first half to lead 19-00. Shilton van Wyk did score for the Blitzboks from a great kick by Quewin Nortje to reduce Fiji's lead to 19-07.

Fiji was awarded a penalty try to extend their lead to 26-07, which was followed by their fifth try minutes later. A consolation try by Kat Letebele reduced Fiji's lead to 33-14 which was also the final score.
