John Dobson, head coach of the DHL Stormers added his voice in support of the sale of Newlands. The consequences of failing to sell Newlands Dobson said would be stratospheric.
Dobson said "I don’t see how we would survive as a professional rugby union without selling the old stadium. The most important thing is that rugby in this region survives and thrives."
