The exams and the preparations for the upcoming national rugby weeks are having a major effect on the number of matches being played this weekend.
However, several mouth-watering fixtures await the brave who will go out in the expected "unhappy" weather conditions.
Bishops will be desperate to stop the slide in form which saw them losing three matches in a row, Wynberg (14-20), Boishaai (07-29) and Boland Landbou (07-14). However, one must be careful to write Bishops off as Rondbesoch lost two of their last three matches. The win of Wynberg against Paul Roos (23-12) surprised many, however, that was preceded by losses against Wynberg (15-24) and Paarl Gim (21-52).
Boland Landbou will be out to prove a point against Paarl Boishaai and their recent form against Paarl Gim (21-26), Wynberg (21-26) and Bishops (14-07) must make their visitors worried. Paarl Boishaai is still improving each week and Sean Erasmus won't be caught with his pants ......... when visiting die Plaas. Boishaai should be more than good enough to add another win to their 2022 calendar.
The match of the weekend must be the one between Oakdale and Paarl Gim. Oakdale is on a four-match winning streak and should be confident of their chances against the visitors from the Paarl. Unfortunately for the gents from Riversdal, Paarl Gim has seemingly found their rhythm which made them so dangerous early in the season and if all their injured are back they could just restart their march to the top of the 1stXV pile for this season.
Wynberg was taught a rugby lesson a week ago but their class will be more than enough to stop their visitors from upsetting with ease.
