Schoolboy Rugby – The “Cape Of Storms” Proved To Be Just That

Bartolomeu Dias called the cape Cabo das Tormentas "Cape of Storms" and how right he was. Several surprises this weekend with no respect shown to the rankings.

Boland Landbou saved their best for Bishops and secured a brilliant 14-07 win against Bishops, showing that they can beat any of the top schools in the country if the bounce of the ball just favours them a little bit.

Boishaai turned on the heat in the second half and once again "surprised" many with their convincing win against Wynberg. A team without any "starts" coached by a brilliant coach into a brilliant unit that could/should have finished the season unbeaten was it not for two narrow losses against Rondebosch (19-22) and Grey College (12-21).

Paarl Gim has welcomed back a few injured players and it showed immediately as they demolished a SACS team (66-13) that is definately not having their best year ever.

Paul Roos lost to Rondebosch (12-24) for the first time in 20 years after Rondebosch came from behind to keep Paul Roos scoreless in the second half. Paul Roos's last four matches will take place only in the third term, hopefully giving them enough time to fix the fixable.

Oakdale's 52-03 beating of Durbanville was a bit surprising to say the least. We all expected Durbanville to be a bit more competitive at home.
