Saturday has been "Spoilt" a little bit with Middelburg and Middelburg HTS forced to withdraw after a flu outbreak has forced them to withdraw from their fixtures the weekend.
However, all eyes will be on the "Plaas" where Affies will host Grey College in a battle for the number 1 spot on the Ruggas.co.za rankings. We expect a very close battle between these two top teams with the coaches and their game plan which will be the deciding factor on the day. The last ten minutes will be hectic, full of action and emotion. The team that will know how to close out the game should walk off as the winners.
In Johannesburg, St John's will host their neighbours KES on a day that will also be ruled by passion, and unfortunately, that will be the only factor that could see St John's cause one of the upsets of the day.
The Noordvaal competition is gaining momentum with Garsfontein hoping to show that their nightmare at Krugersdorp a week ago was just that. They will host Menlopark which is "rebuilding" with the new director of rugby Nico Luus determined to get them back on track. Garsfontein should win with relative "ease", however, a stingy Menlopark defence could see the match still balanced on an edge with 20 minutes to go.
Noordheuwel will host an EG Jansen that will also be out to prove that they will not just be a competitor in 2022. Expect the East Randers to be physical and determined.
