The past weekend’s rugby saw Clifton College hosting Kearsney College on a windy Saturday at Riverside in Durban North. First-half possession and territory were dominated by Kearsney, capitalising by scoring four unanswered tries, to go into the halftime break with a comfortable 28-00 lead.
The second half saw much of the same, with Kearsney having the majority of territory and possession. Even though the line-out struggled at times, Kearsney managed to score a further four tries, to take the final score of the game to 48-00.
The game was full of running rugby, with the scoreline showing that Kearsney managed to convert their possession into points. A notable performance came from Cameron Veenstra who scored 23 points on the day, including a hat-trick of tries.
