In a week of brilliant action and surprises the Noordvaal region once again entertained all that bothered to attend the matches.
The match between Affies and Menlopark did not disappoint where Menlopark, as expected, brought their best and then some more when they visited "die Plaas". Affies dominated for most of the match, however, leading with only 07-06 a few minutes before the end of the match is a testament to a committed defence from Menlopark. Two late tries by Affies definately resulted in a scoreline that does not reflect the action on the field.
Gasfontein's 1stXV continued their domination of the Pretoria area with a comprehensive 34-07 win against Waterkloof.
EG Jansen "surprised" once again beating Helpmekaar 26-12 in what was the match between the "useless" and "dream team" when predictions were made at the beginning of the season. EG Jansen is still unbeaten in the Noordvall Cup competition.
Noordheuwel stayed in the hunt for a semi-final spot beating a Middelburg HTS (44-07) who is not having a great year at all, losing their last four matches.
In the Noordvaal Plate competition, none of the two top teams was in action. Kempton Park had a close 19-14 win against Montana while Rustenburg (38-28) had to work hard against a struggling Zwartkop who has lost their first three matches in the competition.
