DHL Stormers tighthead prop Sazi Sandi said he is always excited to be able to contribute and praised his fellow tighthead teammates who took him under their wing and guided him in the right direction.
"It might sound cliche, but it always feels better to play in a Stormers jersey. Every time the coaches give me a nod, I’m more than excited to go."
"I feel very proud and privileged to play this weekend, and I’m excited I have the opportunity to show my skills."
The influence Frans Malherbe, Brok Harris, and Neethling Fouche had on his development is "awesome", Sandi said.
"After a scrum session, there are times when you don’t know what you’re feeling."
“They’ll lend and ear and chat with me, and whatever I’m feeling, they’ll know exactly how I’m feeling."
"It helps me understand the process and what is going on in the scrum. You get to a point where you first focus on your job and how you must be better."
"Then you understand how the whole pack is working and learn more with each conversation."
“The information has been invaluable. It’s helped my development as a player as well.”
