The SA Rugby Under-19 Cup clash between the Cell C Sharks and Vodacom Bulls in Durban on Saturday has all the hallmarks of a final because the winner will be crowned as 2022 league champions after both teams kept their unbeaten records intact last weekend.
No official final is scheduled for the competition, with the four sides playing each other over a single round, with the team that tops the log taking the silverware.
Both the Vodacom Bulls and Cell C Sharks are still unbeaten after two rounds, the latest which happened over the past weekend when the men from North Gauteng recorded a convincing win over the Toyota Cheetahs at home in Pretoria by 32-10, after leading 12-0 at halftime.
The other match, between hosts DHL WP and the Cell C Sharks, was a much more closely fought affair, with the KwaZulu-Natalians beating their Cape Town counterparts by 22-20 at Villager RFC, where the visitors led 7-6 at the break.
Our selection was solely done on the performance of the players during the round 2 clashes and typical South African coaches, we select a few players "out" of position due to brilliance in certain positions.
