The Blitzboks played Samoa Sevens in the 5th place semi-final of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series - Los Angeles and once again disappointed, losing 05-45 in their 5th loss in a row in Los Angeles.
It took Samoa 7s just 2 minutes to score their first try after some brilliant handling and interplay by the men in blue. Samoa continued their fine form and added three more tries in the first half to lead 26-00 at the halftime break.
The massacre continued in the second half as Samoa scored another three tries before Travis Ismaiel scored his first try in a Blitzboks jersey. Samoa cruising to a 45-05 win.
