The Toyota Cheetahs are travelling to Welkom to face the Griffons on Sunday, 21 April, at 15:00 (SA Time).
Director of Rugby, Frans Steyn, said: “We’ve made a couple of changes again. We have to go out and get as many points as possible, and I think that’s where the disappointment comes in in the game against Eastern Province.”
“We have to take as many points as possible per game, and this week, we will try to get back to our standard. We need to give players opportunities and see where we are as a squad. We want to win, but there are more important things going on at the moment.”
Oupa Mohoje: “It’s exciting, I haven’t played much rugby in a long time. There’s a bit of change in management, and you will be given a clear plan. You just have to abide by the plan a hundred per cent, so I think my thing is that I’m familiar with the plan they are going with. I am abiding into it one hundred per cent, and I think a lot of players are abiding into it.”
“So it’s exciting, I think something is brewing at the Cheetahs, and I think once we enter into our stride, we will become a formidable force, but right now, it’s just to learn and grow as quickly as possible because we don’t want to step into the Currie Cup and still be learning the things we should have learned now. Personally, I’m very excited about what’s happening in the Cheetahs.”
