Bart Schoeman, well-known rugby agent and I sat down to discuss the "new squad" Jake White is busy to put together to ensure a bright future for Blue Bulls rugby for years to come. The names we identify is either busy with training for the up-and-coming Currie Cup or has been announced by the Blue Bulls as new signings.

The Bulls was not able to supply us with a final list of contracted players as additional signings and non-renewals of current players' contracts is still possible.

We agreed that this is an exciting squad with a major area of concern in the front row. Although the names contracted is some of the best in South Africa possible Springbok duty and injuries could create serious problems next year. Add that to the lack of experience at hooker and one can understand that the Bulls major area of concern is one, two and three.

Although the "boelies" at lock is not present to the normal high standards that the Bulls is known for, the loosies are definately some of the best on offer in South Africa.

Nine and ten combine experience with exciting young talent that could become vital in tight games. The centres, not a major concern with the young talent to be guided by the players next to them. The back three is very experienced with some players a tad too old for my personal opinion.

Excited but??????
