The Springboks beat Australia by 30-12 in extremely wet conditions in Perth. Added to that, Australia ran out of props, which led to uncontested scrums for most of the second half, robbing all the enjoyment for the Springboks supporters.
The match started in extremely wet conditions, and apart from a brilliant try by Aphelele Fassi, who regained a Makazole Mapimpi grubber to give the Springboks 08-03 after seventeen minutes of play, it was a stop-start affair as both sides made several mistakes due to the extremely wet ball.
The Springboks "dominated" only just and deservedly led 11-09 at the halftime break.
The Springbok started with a try by Marco van Staden from the back of a five-meter lineout-maul to extend their lead to 18-09 after just three minutes of play, to which Noah Lolesio immediately replied with his fourth converted penalty for Australia.
The following fifteen minutes were a bit of a bore until Malcolm Marx scored from the back of a five-meter driving maul to extend the Springboks' lead to 23-12 with fifteen minutes still to play.
Five minutes later, Malcolm Marx scored his second try from the back of a five-meter lineout maul to secure a bonus point for the Springboks, which was the final score in a messy match.
