Rugby Championship – Five-try First Half Blitz Secure All Black Revenge Over Argentina

New Zealand remained unbeaten since 1994 at Eden Park with a 42-03 win over Argentina. A first-half five-try blitz secured the All Blacks' revenge for last week’s shock loss to the Pumas in Wellington.

The All Blacks dominated the first half and scored their first try when Damian McKenzie chipped and collected to open the score for the All Blacks. However, minutes laterTyrel Lomax was guilty of a no-arms tackle and Santiago Carreras converted an easy penalty to reduce the hosts' lead to 07-03.

Tries by All Blacks captain Ardie Savea, Caleb Clarke, Will Jordan and Beauden Barrett secured the All Blacks a bonus point and a lead of 35-03 going into the second half.

The All Blacks scored their sixth try after five minutes of play in the second half after some magic from Will Jordan to extend their lead to 42-03.

Argentina scored a consolation try with eight minutes still to play in the second half from an Ioane knock-on inside the Argentina 22 which was kicked downfield by Matera which eventually led to Juan Cruz Mallia scoring Argentina's only try.

Six All Blacks tries in a much-improved performance, but as good as the All Blacks have been, Argentina have been as bad. The All Blacks deservedly won 42-03
