Quewin Nortje’s Brace Stear Blitzboks To Great Start In HSBC SVNS Cape Town

Young Quewin Nortje continued his brilliant form for the Blitzboks, scoring two tries in the Blitzboks' 19-05 win over Great Britain.

Nortje picked up the ball behind a Blitzboks' loose scrum to bulldoze his way over the tryline to open the scoring for the Blitzboks. The rest of the first half was an arm wrestle until Great Brittain cut through the midfield defence to reduce the Blitzboks lead to 07-05 going into the second half.

Justin Geduld scored the Blitzboks' second try after just one minute of play in the second half, however, Nortje's second try came from brilliant interplay between the Blitzboks. Nortje ran a brilliant line to slice the defence in two for his second try with two minutes still to play. The Blitzboks were the deserved winners with 19-05.
