Jimmy Stonehouse announced a powerful and exciting squad to welcome the Lions in Mbombela on Friday evening at 19h00 for the first match of the 2021 Carling Currie Cup.

Pieter Jansen van Vuuren will resume the captaincy for the upcoming season. Apart from Morgan Naude, who is injured, Stonehouse selected his strongest possible squad.

The Pumas lost to the Lions 25-33 in their last Currie Cup fixture at the Mbombela Stadium on 02 January 2021 in a match that could have gone either way.
