The Lions u/21s will host the Vodacom Blue Bulls u/21s today at Emirates Airline Park at 12h00. The Lions u/21s are desperate for a win in their fight to secure a place in the playoffs of the SARU u/21 Cup competition.

The Lions are currently in fourth place on the competition log, however, they have the same log points as the Sharks u/21s and have five log points more than the Toyota Cheetahs u/21s who have played one game less than the Lions u/21s and Sharks u/21s.

The Vodacom Blue Bulls are leading the log with fifteen points, one point more than DHL Western Province u/21 but have played one match less than DHL Western Province.

One would expect the Vodacom Blue Bulls u/21s to win with ease, however, they made wholesale changes to their starting line-up that thrashed the Cell C Sharks u/21s with 47-19 two weeks ago.

This could open the door for the Lions u/21s to "surprise", however, knowing the Vodacom Blue Bulls' attitude to win expect a big fight today. It will be close and physical.
