The Pretoria Cup was presented to the Garsfontein 1stXV during a successful rugby function at Garsfontein. The Pretoria Cup is a floating trophy and will be played for by the 1stXV teams of Affies, Garsfontein, Menlopark and Waterkloof.
The brilliant Garsfontein 1stXV ended the 2022 season unbeaten in Pretoria with a historic first win against Affies with 20-19, Waterkloof 34-07 and Menlopark 34-08.
Affies have beaten Menlopark 21-06 and Waterkloof 60-15 while Waterkloof has beaten Menlopark 07-06.
It was the first time since 1996 that these four schools played each other in a year with Affies the 1996 "winner" after beating Waterkloof 03-00, Menlopark 50-06 and Garsfontein 62-07.
