Phakisa Pumas head coach Jimmy Stonehouse made five changes and one positional change to his starting line-up that surprised all in Nelspruit against the Tafel Lager Griquas. Phakisa Pumas will travel to Newlands for their fixture on Friday against the DHL Western Province.
At the back, Isbell Ruwellyn replaces Ettiene Taljaard on the wing while Chriswell September comes off the bench at scrumhalf with Ginter Smuts moving to the bench. Ex Southern Kings youngster, Tiaan Botes will make his debut at flyhalf in the place of Devon Williams who drops to the bench.
Up front Pieter Jansen v Vuuren makes his return as captain and lock with Darrien Landsberg who moves from lock to loosie in the place of Phumzile Maqondwana. Naude Morgan replaces Dewald Maritz at loosehead in the final change to the starting line-up.
