Peter Engledow Appointed At DHS

"DHS are very excited to announce that Peter Engledow is The new 1st XV Rugby Head Coach at School. Peter brings a huge amount of experience and Rugby knowledge which he gained not only in South Africa, but in England as well.
From starting his coaching days at Table View High School, Peter then moved to England where he spent over a decade as a development officer for the RFU (national governing body for Rugby Union in England), whilst also coaching at the prestigious St Joseph's College in Ipswich. St Joseph's College hosts the largest Interschools Rugby Tournament in England and has done so since 1986!
Peter returned to South Africa in 2013 and became the Head Coach of The Griquas Vodacom Cup Team and assisted Hawies Fourie during The Currie Cup. Following Fourie's departure to Maties, Peter took over as Head Coach of The Griquas in both the Rugby Challenge and Currie Cup.
Peter's latest role has been the Head of Rugby for Paarl Boys' High School. He held this position for the last 3 years from 2018-2021. Despite the recent disruptions from Covid-19, Peter managed to produce a coaching record at Paarl Boys' that included 23 wins from 26 games.
We are incredibly proud to have a man of this calibre at the helm of our 1st XV."
